COVID-19: BHSM Advises in one of the first Creditors Meetings to be held by Tele / Video Conferencing
Mark Homan, Head of our Insolvency and Restructuring Department recently advised at the Creditors Meeting of a company, Marzean Services DAC.
The meeting was conducted remotely by way of video and telephone conferencing in accordance with the recent Guidance Note issued by Chartered Accountants Ireland concerning meetings of creditors during COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on movement and public gatherings. Jim Stafford of Friel Stafford was successfully appointed liquidator.
The various accountancy bodies and ISIP (Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners) have moved quickly to ensure that the business of administering insolvent companies can continue despite the challenges faces by physical distancing.
